Synopsis: Daisy, Ruth, Maxine, and Fawn work at Spimosa Films in San Francisco as voice actresses. The company, owned by Ruth's older sister Nicole, specializes in purchasing American distribution rights to anime titles and adding subtitles and English audio for release in North America. The company is about to begin work on a new series, but James, one of the voice actors, has just finished working on another project for another company without giving his voice ample time to recover.

Synopsis: The company takes on some new hires, when popular voice actress Gisele Siegel leaves her previous company and decides to work for the smaller Spimosa. Ruth and Nicole's younger sister Raquel also joins to take on secretarial work and gofer duties. Without warning, tragedy strikes when James loses his voice (due to the over-exertion mentioned above) and has to be replaced. An unexpected savior arrives in the form of Terry, who has a knack for voice impressions, though she knows next to nothing about anime.
